Growing our community
The Elderslee Foundation is a charitable foundation committed to fostering the well-being of the community on the NSW Central Coast and other organisations which share this goal. In recent times we have provided significant funds to small not-for-profit organisations who work with the Central Coast community.
In 2020, we are now focussing on the completion of our new venture – a large physical space comprising Elderslee@Tuggerah and the Red Tree Theatre.
INFORMATION RELATING TO COVID-19
Elderslee Foundation is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy space. Please be aware that anyone visiting Elderslee@Tuggerah or The Red Tree Theatre will have to satisfy a number of conditions of entry. They include:
-not attending if you are unwell
-providing contact details by completing sign-in form
-being prepared to have your temperature taken
-complying with all social distancing requirements
We ask everyone to comply with these small steps to ensure our community’s wellbeing.
Elderslee@Tuggerah and Red Tree Theatre
In 2018, Elderslee Foundation purchased a 1,000 square metres warehouse on Tuggerah Straight, changing its focus to a different pathway, one in which the dream of establishing a well-being centre is being realised. In early 2020, Elderslee had hoped to open the doors of its new centre, Elderslee@Tuggerah and Red Tree Theatre. The centre provides office and meeting space, training and activity rooms, exhibition space and a one hundred and fifty seat theatre that is suitable for seminars, presentations, conferences and performances. The foyer/ entrance area can host art exhibitions and The Monkey Bar allows for celebrating openings, award giving and intervals during performances. We are looking forward to sharing this space and working in partnership with others on the coast to establish a centre which will become a catalyst for creativity and new ways of thinking and doing.
The Foundation hopes that Elderslee@Tuggerah and Red Tree Theatre will become lively, relaxed and enjoyable spaces in which people can come together around shared interests and passions, a place in which issues of community concern can be acted upon without fear or favour, and in which creativity will thrive.
Whilst COVID 19 has impacted on our ability to offer full access, we are able to offer access to these facilities within a COVID safe context, so do contact us if you are interested.
